Who am I?
I presently serve as a Curate at St Mary's Church, Princes Risborough, having spent the last two years training for Ordination at St Mellitus Theological College in London. Prior that this I worked as a teacher for over twenty two years in education, for the most part in Secondary education. My last role was as Head of RE. I have a passion for teaching and though I no longer work in education, the role that I carry out in ministry has a large part to do with education, as I help the people that I serve in the church and the wider community understand more of what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
What is Discipleship Corner?
I have set up Discipleship Corner as website to share with others the work that I am developing on Discipleship and biblical education. Over the last eight years discipleship has been a passion after I was asked to help the congregation of one of the churches in which I served as a Lay Minister, to help their discipleship journey. As a result I began my own journey of discovery and have worked on this area of theology ever since
The aim of this website is to share some of the work that I have been doing. In particular to share a model of discipleship that I feel will help churches and clergy to develop their own discipleship initiatives to further the development of discipleship. I aim to also provide a range of resources that will build up over the next few years to help individuals and groups to be able to see what they can use, be it courses or books, to help them and their groups grow. As such, this website will be an ever changing site, which might start small but will grow as I add to it ideas and resources.
